NEIT 018 - SGT [Name Exempt B6] Co. C, 3rd Inf, 9/25/01 returned to his unit on 16 September after two weeks leave. He describes his experience searching for body parts, airplane fragments and removing debris from the Pentagon from 17-24 September. - MS Word

NEIT 032 - SPC [Name Exempt B6], Co. B, 3d Inf, 10/2/01 [Name Exempt B6] SPC [Name Exempt B6] saw the plane before it crashed into the Pentagon. He describes his platoon's duties of guarding the interior hallways of the Pentagon and removing debris, including airplane parts, from the building.

NEIT 112 - SGT [Name Exempt B6] MDW Engineers, 10/19/01. a fuel specialist with the MDW Rescue Engineers, Fort Belvoir VA. Good articulate account of incident. Single parent perspective. Spirit of cooperation at site. Explanation of Class III support. Helped fellow soldier overcome fear of entering building. - MS Word

NEIT 120 - [Name Exempt B6] was among the very first Army soldiers into the Pentagon for rescue and recovery efforts. - MS Word

NEIT 204 - As the Area Coordinator for Pentagon wedge-one for PENREN. [Name Exempt B6] was
Pentagon construction area during attack. Describes his escape and though was physically unharmed, but he says he was very shaken and is currently in extensive counseling. - MS Word

NEIT 209 - [Name Exempt B6] Ft Myer Fire Department, 10/30/01 gives a first-hand account of the attack. Was at the helipad fire station and witnessed the attack. Suffered burn injuries but continued to help others. Fire truck destroyed during attack. - MS Word

NEIT 210 - [Name Exempt B6], Captain, Ft Myer Fire Department, 10/30/01 gives an extremely valuable and "hard-hitting" interview. Included thoughts on possible loss of lives due to response efforts and actions. - MS Word

NEIT 213 - [Name Exempt B6] – Research analysts for Army QDR. Their office was severely damaged in the attack. He helped people to escape over wall of collapsed office of their office and assisted people out of the building. - MS Word

NEIT 214 - [Name Exempt B6] – Admin assistant. She took her infant to work because no day care was available that day. At time of attack her child was buried in building debris. [Name Exempt B6] pulled herself out of the wreckage and helped save someone also trapped. Together they found her child and were led up out of burning room through collapsed second floor to safety. - MS Word

NEIT 218 - [Name Exempt B6] Ft Myer Fire Department, was at the Pentagon helo-pad when the airplane struck. Saw it first hand as it flew directly over him. Was the very first person to call in the attack to a dispatcher seconds after it struck. He had several injuries relating to the incident and while helping people out of the building. - MS Word

NEIT 249 - [Name Exempt B6], 11/1/01 (Lapic) Transcribed [Name Exempt B6] – Survivor of attack on his office, he helped others escape over wall to safety. He makes good observations of overall situation with key points as an AAR. - MS Word

NEIT 271 - [Name Exempt B6], 11/7/01 (Lapic) Transcribed [Name Exempt B6] – Gives powerful account of his and fellow employees escape from his 2nd floor office and how he helped people out from behind a stuck fire door. He helped in the ongoing rescue efforts throughout 9/11. - MS Word

NEIT 295 - SPC [Name Exempt B6], Co. E, 12th Avn Bn, 11/14/01 [Name Exempt B6] SPC [Name Exempt B6] was in the helipad control tower at the Pentagon at the time of the attack. She was injured by debris when the tower shifted from the impact of the explosion.

NEIT 299 - [Name Exempt B6] (DAC), Co. E, 12th Avn Bn, 11/14/01 was an air traffic controller at the Pentagon. The tower at the helipad was destroyed by the blast of the explosion at the Pentagon and he was injured when the tower glass imploded. Helped rescue other personnel. His car was also destroyed in the attack. - MS Word

NEIT 318 - [Name Exempt B6] – As safety officer she went to camp unity to observe if safety procedures were being observed. She made safety recommendations for possible bio and chemical contamination. - MS Word

NEIT 320 - [Name Exempt B6], 11/14/01 (Lapic) Transcribed [Name Exempt B6] – Working as a demographer, she gives harrowing account of an office of people unable to find a way out of a hot, smoke-filled room. Explains how they low-crawled over wet carpets to one door only to find it blocked. They reversed directions when someone found an escape route. People were dropped out 2nd story window to employees below. (Also provided written account.) - MS Word

NEIT 321 - [Name Exempt B6] explains the communications between control tower of Reagan National and his tower at Davison Army Airfield. Also discusses details of evacuation of skies of civilian and military aircraft. - MS Word

NEIT 322 - CW2 [Name Exempt B6], Co. A, 12th Avn Bn, 11/14/01 [Name Exempt B6] CW2 [Name Exempt B6] Discussed flight missions for support and maintenance 9/11. Gave a flight matrix. Tells how remains were flown to Dover, DE

NEIT 405 - [Name Exempt B6] was leaving Pentagon for a meeting thru the 2nd corridor exit when he saw the plane approach and then hit the building. - MS Word

NEIT 419 - [Name Exempt B6] Facility Manager, Arlington National Cemetery, 12/12/01, saw the faces of the passengers of Flight 77 as it flew overhead at 100 feet. - MS Word

NEIT 420 - [Name Exempt B6], Arlington National Cemetery, 12/13/01, saw the approach of the plane at Arlington Cemetery. He ran for cover because the plane was flying so low. - MS Word

NEIT 428 - [Name Exempt B6], Arlington National Cemetery, 12/12/01, ANC employee was in the maintenance building when plane hit and as he exited he saw a second plane.

NEIT 473 - Mr. [Name Exempt B6], DAPE-ZX1, 12/04/01 [Name Exempt B6] Mr. [Name Exempt B6] works in the ODCSPER Information Management Office. He tells of leaving his desk in the ODCSPER main bay area to attend a meeting away from the Pentagon and watching from South Parking as the plane struck the building. Many people in the immediate vicinity of his cubicle were killed. He also tells of the reconstittution of the ODCSPER Local Area Network in the Hoffman Building.

NEIT 489 - [Name Exempt B6] provides a vivid description of scene in alleyway BC. Describes how all the plane’s contents were dumped there. Re-entered into C ring thru hole in wall in BC alley. Joined a forensic team. Describes final resting place of plane and rescue effort there. - MS Word

NEIT 501 - CPT [Name Exempt B6], OSD Cables, 01/23/02 [Name Exempt B6] Having just parked in Lane 1 of South Parking, CPT [Name Exempt B6] saw the plane hit. He estimates that he was 100 yards from the point of impact. He describes his rescue efforts and subsequent actions that day, including providing an eye-witness briefing to the Secretary of Defense.

NEIT 503 - COL [Name Exempt B6]& LTC [Name Exempt B6], Mortuary Affairs, PERSCOM, 01/24/02 [Name Exempt B6]. COL [Name Exempt B6] and LTC [Name Exempt B6] describe the operations of the MOrtuary Affairs Division, US Army Personnel Command, to provide assistance to the families of Army personnel killed in the attack on the Pentagon. They provide a detailed description of working with the FBI in identifying the remains and accounting for personnel affects.

NEIT 515 - [Name Exempt B6], ODSCINT Personnel Chief, 01/28/02, saw the plane from her Crystal City office and then the explosion at the Pentagon. Window faces the flight path. Very articulate account. - MS Word

NEIT 522 - LTC [Name Exempt B6], DAMO-SSW, 01/31/02, G3 Warplans Div. Impact threw him out of his chair. Detailed account of evacuation of his office. Saw plane parts on sidewalk outside. Very good account. - MS Word

NEIT 528 - LTC [Name Exempt B6], DAPE-PRR, 02/01/02, provided extremely valuable information on several aspects of the plane collision and the vivid details within the corridors of C and D-Rings too numerous to mention. - MS Word

NEIT 529 - LTC [Name Exempt B6] DAPE-MPO, 02/20/02, provided extremely valuable information on several aspects of the plane collision and the vivid details within the corridors of D-Ring too numerous to mention including the loss of four co-workers. - MS Word

NEIT 567 - [Name Exempt B6], US Army Band, 02/06/02 was in Arlington National Cemetery completing a funeral at the time of the attack. Saw the plane (which she thought was a normal flyover) and the aftermath. Was a courier for the Emergency Operation Center. Good Interview. - MS Word

NEIT 579 - [Name Exempt B6] Project Mgr, State Dept, 02/01/02, State Dept employee on the way to a job assignment on 9/11. In traffic jam next to Helo-pad when plane hit. Debris hit his car. Ran to DOD fireman at scene and offered assistance. Left when told to by fireman. - MS Word

NEIT 642 - [Name Exempt B6] – His office was unaware of developing events. The plane exited right below his office, but personal injury was minimized because personnel at a meeting away from the windows. Was assigned to mortuary affairs because of his logistics background. - MS Word

NEIT 643 - [Name Exempt B6], 03/12/02 (Lapic) Transcribed [Name Exempt B6] – These computer “help desk” technicians were in an office directly affected by impact. Mrs. [Name Exempt B6] escaped thru the Army QDR office. She sustained burns to her hands and other unspecified injuries. [Name Exempt B6] hair was set on fire and she received 2nd and 3d degree burns to her hands and face. She escaped with help thru the point of impact. Both are adversely affected by the loss of fellow employees. - MS Word

NEIT 710 - 2LT [Name Exempt B6], Motor Section Supervisor, Fairfax County Police, 04/15/02 (Lapic) 2LT [Name Exempt B6] describes his experiences controlling traffic and personnel outside the Pentagon on 11 September. - MS Word

NEIT 748 and 749 - [Name Exempt B6] (748), Helicopter Pilot, Fairfax County Police, 04/29/02 (Lapic) Mr. Bittner describes his flying missions at the Pentagon on 11 and 12 September for the FAA and the FBI. Describes mission with FAA official to retrace last mile of planes flight path. Officer [Name Exempt B6] (749), Helicopter Pilot, Fairfax County Police, 04/29/02 (Lapic) Officer Mountjoy describes the photo missions he flew over the Pentagon for the FBI. He provided copies of these photographs to CMH. - MS Word

NEIT 780 - Mr. [Name Exempt B6] Pentagon Renovation Team, 6/28/02 [Name Exempt B6] Mr. [Name Exempt B6] describes the attack on the Pentagon from his vantage point near where the airliner hit the building. He also describes the post-attack effort to rebuild the destroyed portion of the Pentagon.
